there's been a dead air when it came to me and blogging or connecting anywhere on the internet for the past couple months and all for no particular reason. i guess i just needed a break.
october arrived, and my mind and body went into 'holiday' mode.... and now it's november and work is not a place i want to be. i need a vacay.

summer has arrived in good ol' south africa.
then again, it snowed a week a go. these are messed up.

after way way waaaay too long, my camera has finally been repaired.

its a huge dent in my wallet but worth it for my little gem.

and just in time too, spring has arrived (seriously, this time)

i found the cutest enamel mug that i feel represents south africa so well.  a friend of mine is selling them and i'm dying to order a bucket load, not only to support her, but because i feel the post office misses me and i'm giving it some love (ha!).

 

so, all you have to do is comment. {shock. horror, gasp!}

it's true - clearly i'm just in need of some attention.

SPRING HAS SPRUNG.... SORTA

the arrival of september in south africa brings with it spring ...and rain.  lots and lots of rain.

it's rained, in durban, non-stop the whole week. non-stop.

it's as though the heavens had been holding it in all winter and when september 1st hit, it needed to relieve itself. 

honestly, i'm kinda loving it.  i love the smell of rain and fresh, clean feel it brings with it (once it stops), i just hate driving in it.

 

on an entirely random note: i've been watching an insane amount of 'modern family' and 'lie to me' - you guys, i think i'm addicted. i can't sleep  without watching a couple episodes of each show, then i sleep happy.  anybody have show recommendations?  clearly my problem needs to be fed.
